Late but I get there

due to a whole variety of things taking demands on my time and our printer/scanner giving up the ghost when we were unable to afford to replace it, it's been a long while since I blogged anywhere.  But now it's time to get back to things.

I'm pretty new to this birding thing, mostly inspired by my daughter's questions and Simon Barnes' books. I knew I was looking at a member of the tit family but it took me a while to realise the bird I'd drawn was a willow tit.

 

The nightingale was an amalgam of 3 photos from three birding books. I've never seen a nightingale but really wanted to draw one.
